immigrant community survives and ultimately becomes American.
It is beautifully
written, but I thought it got too wordy towards the end. – KN

man's life against racial prejudice and powerful forces seeking to undo civil
rights progress.
While it started slow, it picked up, and I enjoyed the
surprise ending. - NH
